About twenty years ago a service manager at Barclays Bank said 'Hmmmm, we have this project that is hanging around - it's probably a bit of a waste  of time - looking at this thing the Internet - for some reason the management want us to take a look at it to see if its worth any investment?!?! It's not going to take off - so I tell you what we'll give you the project Dave and you can keep your eye on it.....'.

So, that was it - that was my introduction to the Internet and the web, a half-baked, pointless project that undoubtedly the management just wanted to tick a box on a spreadsheet and forget about. 

Fast forward to now and I've spent those twenty years within various roles within the Digital industry, both client and supplier (although they are called agencies now). Project and Programme Management, Client Services, Strategic and Transformation roles, Change management positions, 'Head of' and Director jobs within public and private sectors - all focused on getting the most from digital services and products.

What they also had in common was the need to understand people - be this teams, individuals or customers.  Building teams and letting them grow and develop their own success and ensuring that customers get want they truly want and need. 

I've taken those experiences - some good, some not so good - and now provide strategic digital services to clients and agencies - creating digital strategies, mentoring staff, creating teams, managing projects  and programmes, offering sales (internal/external) or selection support as well as creating (and delivering) workshops and talks.

My specific focus surrounds neurosciences and human behaviour and how this is influencing and being influenced by digital - I am currently completing various university degrees towards a PhD in Behavioral Science.
